Technique

Rachael uses a wide range of techniques, often combining more than one method in each piece.

Methods

Printmaking: Techniques include lino cut, collograph, etching, mono-printing and silk screen printing. These techniques produce one-off prints that may be printed as part of an edition. Often the artist combines various methods through layering elements of print and sometimes hand painting in watercolour.

Digital Prints: These are a combination of original photos, drawings and paintings manipulated and combined to produce original artworks which are then printed in archival quality inks on acid free paper.

Paintings: These are completed in acrylic and/or oil, often including elements of collage. Some paintings include printmaking techniques such as direct screen printing or block printing on canvas. Supports vary from paper to wooden panel to canvas.
